About the Expert Programme
The objective of our Expert Programme is to further develop the personal and professional skills of the participants. In a developing country, you join local experts and together, you work on a concrete question or issue (business cases) arising from a local organisation concerning (sustainable) entrepreneurship.
A profound experience
During the project, you genuinely participate in the organisation/the company, as well as being integrated into the local population. Of course you will bring knowledge into the project, however, at the same time, you will also learn a great deal about the approach and organisation from the local experts and entrepreneurs. This will provide you with a host of new experiences and you will be able to contribute towards establishing essential international (North-South) networks.

Well prepared
SharePeople makes sure that you are well prepared for your mission. To achieve this goal, we make use of our extensive network of international organisations. Previous participants (Ambassadors) can also offer you good advice and give you information about the local context. A safety training course is part of this preparation.
Duration of a project
Depending on the need, a project can last for 2 to 16 weeks. The maximum duration of projects via SharePeople is four months.
Selection & Criteria
To be eligible for participating in the Expert Programme, you need to have experience in a job at a high (graduate) level, as well as a minimum of 5 years of working experience. In addition, the expert must have ample consulting skills and be able to work under difficult circumstances in a foreign country.

Fees
For participating in this programme you will not receive a salary. However, the
local organisation arranges and pays for your accommodation and meals. International travelling expenses are to be paid by the participant. Additionally, SharePeople charges you a fee. The height of this fee may vary, depending on the level of preparation and coaching desired or necessary.
